Batala SF is pleased to be participating in the PAINT CONGRESS BLUE Art + Action Festival, a fun, free block party that will take place on 25th St. (between Telegraph and Broadway) in Oakland on Sunday afternoon, August 5, 2018 from 3pm to 7pm. Swing Left East Bay, Working America, Flip the 14, Sister District Project CA 13, Open Progress and Indivisible East Bay + Berkeley will have info and hands-on opportunities to make change happen, including postcard writing, phone banking, text banking, district canvassing and voter registration.
Art galleries that populate this key Oakland Arts District street including Mercury 20, Manna, Roscoe, Slate, Local Language and 4th Wall will be open and exhibiting art and performances with political and social focus. There will be a silent art auction. The festive atmosphere will continue with food, music, dancers, poetry, speakers and bubbles!
